Alumna of Chinese program hired as Case Manager for Victims of Trafficking at Refugee Services of Texas

Tameika Atherley, a recent graduate from the Chinese program at Texas State University was recently hired as a Case Manager for Victims of Trafficking at Refugee Services of Texas. The Mandarin language skills and the knowledge of Chinese culture she developed in the Chinese program as well as during her time studying abroad in China are key in helping her Mandarin-speaking clients. "My time in the Chinese program at Texas State University has not only been fun and exciting but has opened to me more opportunities than I could have imagined" says Tameika.
